FRS are currently recruiting an Injection Moulding Technician for our client based in Co. Longford. This is a permanent role across two shifts 8-4 and 4-12. What you will be doing daily. Performs mould cleaning and cleaning of machines/robots and ancillary equipment. Performs equipment maintenance, electrical, hydraulic and control experience needed. Develop documentation in the Production and Technical areas. Responsible for process optimization by using statistical techniques. Solves, in conjunction with the Quality department, customer related problems/issues as needed. Continuously works on initiatives to reduce the scrap produced as a result of unplanned events, breakdowns and inefficient processes. Be part of a team to executing continuous improvement program, lean program. Reporting on/resolving process/technical issues. Ensure the quality of the parts produced by inspecting parts visually and with measuring devices. Ensure the machine settings as per the validated status. Ensures that the correct raw materials are being used at each moulding machine. Attends schedules and facilitates internal meetings to help establish priorities and assign tasks. Instructs others, formally or informally, training of employees on new processes or systems. Communicate on a regular basis (or as appropriate) with external suppliers of materials and equipment and provide regular feedback on any issues to the management team. Perform additional duties at the request of the direct supervisor. Requirements: At least 2-3 years hands on experience in the injection moulding factory. Must be willing to work on a shift basis in the business. Must have a very good knowledge of Injection Moulding, Processing, Ancillary equipment, Robots and automation systems. Have some knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of experiments (DOE. Should have a good knowledge word processing and spreadsheets.
