Production Planner - Longford. Large manufacturer with production facilities across Europe require a Production Planner to join their Supply Chain Team in Longford. This is a senior level role that reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager, with responsibility for the planning of assigned products. This is a dynamic and key role to ensure product is available in time for delivery to customers through effective management of available capacity and stock levels. Key Qualifications. Organised and able to react to the challenges of a fast-moving environment. Strong work ethic, perseverance and flexibility. The ability to deliver quality work to tight deadlines. Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, both written and verbal. Solution oriented analytical planning skills. Data analysis and numeric skills with the ability to evaluate, analyse and present data. Ability to build effective relationships in a cross-functional team environment. Practical and proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement. Proficiency in at least one MRP system and strong Excel Skills. Description. Create production plans to ensure optimisation of plant capacity while maintaining required service levels. Monitor and schedule daily production plans in line with changing demands. Work closely with Buyers to manage packaging supply and stock levels to required targets. Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute plans. Manage finished goods to optimise inventory and maintain customer service level objectives. Communicate critical supply issues. Lead daily/weekly planning meetings and follow up on issues impacting production plan. Update, monitor and publish KPI’s for own area. Provide decision support information/analysis to all levels in the organization. Participate and contribute towards lean and continuous improvement activities. Education. Bachelors degree ideally in business, supply chain, operations management or engineering. However applicants with 3-5 years relevant experience in this area will also be considered.
