As part of an expansion, our client is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant reporting to the Management Board with dotted line reporting to the Operations/Factory Manager. Key responsibility is to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the Finance function and to focus on strong financial controls and business performance. This is an extremely busy role and the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who wants get involved “on a hands-on basis” as part of a start up manufacturing organisation. Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Role. Key Responsibilities include: Preparation of monthly management accounts and associated reports and analysis. Full management of the Irish payroll along with all necessary reconciliations and P30 submissions. Preparation and submission of all VAT returns. Responsibility for all banking and supplier payments. Tracking of customer payments and responsibility of credit control. Support the Preparation of the annual accounts and support during annual audit. Support to Operations and Sales in terms of costings, variance and margin analysis. Support Implementation of Business/ERP system. Preparation of Cash Flow Forecasts. Ensuring all financial processes are adhered to and compliance. Active participation with Business management team to drive profitability within the business. Any other financial support as required by Management Board of Directors. Candidates should have the following skills/experience/qualifications to be considered for this role: •Be a qualified accountant or currently studying to attain accountancy qualification. •Experience in a Manufacturing Environment a key plus. •Strong numerical skills/analytical skills •Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel to an advanced level •Knowledge/proficiency of Payroll/Accounting software packages desirable •Excellent communication skills •Fluent English, both written and oral •Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills •High attention to detail •Commercially aware •Ability to work independently and must be self-starter, having the ability to multitask and work well under pressure preferably, in a complex global accounting environment •Experience of migrating processes.
